A trade show is a themed event that brings together exhibitors and visitors, primarily potential customers, in a single space. A distinction is generally made between shows aimed at the general public (such as wedding fairs or leisure fairs) and trade shows (such as the Packaging Show). There are also mixed shows, such as the agricultural show, which target both professionals and the general public, often reserving one or two days specifically for trade visitors. For exhibitors, consumer shows offer the opportunity to build databases of potential customers and sometimes even close sales on-site. They represent an essential communication tool. The cost of a booth varies depending on the size and reputation of the show, ranging from a few hundred to tens of thousands of euros, or even more for major international trade shows.
