A test folder is a tool frequently used in print advertising. It involves integrating a mock advertisement into a dummy magazine containing various ads, in order to conduct qualitative interviews with test participants. The individuals involved in evaluating the ad are first invited to browse the folder (the dummy magazine) to assess the ad’s impact. Then, with the actual ad in front of them, they are questioned to evaluate its comprehension, credibility, and other aspects. The magazine used for this type of test is generally chosen from those included in the media plan.
