The concept of “post-click” is commonly used to describe phenomena such as the impact or actions following a click. It involves analyzing the advertising and marketing repercussions, or conversions (such as purchases or leads), that result from a click interaction. Generally, post-click evaluation occurs immediately after a click on an advertisement or commercial element, but it can also take place later during a “revisit,” particularly when the purchase is not immediate or impulsive. Post-click impact measurement is primarily performed using web analytics tools. Often considered complementary, post-click and post-impression analyses are frequently contrasted. From a purely advertising perspective, limiting oneself to post-click analysis is reductive, as it would underestimate the potential impact of the remaining 99.5% of ad impressions.
