According to this theory, individuals constantly strive to maintain a certain mental coherence and harmony. This theory highlights a specific configuration called a triad, involving an observer, an object, and another person, where the observer’s attitudes toward the object and the other person can be positive or negative. Similarly, the observer’s perceived relationship between the object and the other person can be judged as favorable or unfavorable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This approach is often applied in the field of advertising, particularly in testimonials where a celebrity or expert acts as a mediator. For example, the famous cyclist Chris Hoy can play this mediator role, subtly using British humor to sidestep the commercial aspect of his testimonial.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","categories-glossary":[344],"class_list":["post-175506","dictionnaire-dico","type-dictionnaire-dico","status-publish","hentry","categories-glossary-market-research-panels"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/digitionary.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/dictionnaire-dico\/175506","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/digitionary.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/dictionnaire-dico"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/digitionary.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/dictionnaire-dico"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/digitionary.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=175506"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"categories-glossary","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/digitionary.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories-glossary?post=175506"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
