In addition to standard elements such as the title, description, and URL, there are three to eight additional links arranged in columns. Generally reserved for queries concerning a website name or brand, sitelinks appear only for the first result and indicate that the user is specifically searching for that website rather than general information.

Obtaining sitelinks is not guaranteed for all websites and seems to depend on traffic and popularity in terms of external links. For example, when searching for “www.definitions-marketing.com”, sitelinks may appear. However, for a query like “marketing definition,” where the intent is not necessarily to visit the website in question, a traditional link appears first, with the sitelinks displayed for the homepage in the second result.

When a website is displayed as a series of sitelinks, it offers several advantages for both the publisher and the user. For the publisher, this presentation provides an overview of the content and generally results in a higher click-through rate. Furthermore, it can help push competing or alternative websites further down the search results page. For the user, sitelinks offer a comprehensive overview of the website’s offerings and allow direct access to specific content without having to go through the homepage. Google determines which deep links are displayed based on the website’s structure and visitors’ browsing habits.

Previously, it was possible to exclude certain sitelinks via Google Search Console, but this feature was removed in October 2016. It’s worth noting that the principle of sitelinks also applies to other websites.

[336
post-171797","dictionnaire-dico","type-dictionnaire-dico","status-publish","hentry","categories-glossary-seo-natural-referencing
["GET
