Generally calculated by measuring activity on social platforms, counting the number of subscribers or followers, or, more rarely, taking into account the engagement generated by this activity, the social score presents itself as a composite assessment of the influence an individual exerts on their different online audiences. To automatically generate this indicator, the platform must be able to identify the accounts of the relevant &#8220;influencers.&#8221; Sometimes, certain social platforms offer their own influence measurement, such as LinkedIn, which evaluates its users&#8217; &#8220;Social Selling Index.&#8221; The relevance and reliability of the social scores offered by different providers can be questioned, particularly with regard to composite scores.
