While it was previously recognized for this function, it is now considered to be non-compliant with established Chrome extension standards. This extension was designed to analyze HTTP headers essential for website security, inspect cookies associated with the visited page, check meta tags simulating secure HTTP headers, monitor the autocomplete status of HTML forms, and examine other critical security parameters. Its purpose was to assist developers and QA testers in the rapid detection of potential vulnerabilities within their web applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To audit security headers using DevTools, simply open DevTools by pressing F12 or using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+I, and then navigate to the Network tab. By examining the headers of an HTTP request, you can look for elements such as Content-Security-Policy, X-Frame-Options, and Strict-Transport-Security, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To perform a vulnerability audit using Lighthouse, open DevTools by pressing F12, go to the Lighthouse tab, and then run a security and best practices audit.
