Some group individuals into different categories based on when they adopt an innovation. A common distinction is between 5% innovators, followed by 15% early adopters, then 35% early majority, 35% late majority, and finally 10% laggards. While these five categories are constant, the percentages vary from group to group, product type to product, and even brand to brand. The writer Arthur C.
