In episode 1 of season 3 of the series Black Mirror, titled &#8220;Nosedive,&#8221; a scenario is explored where social ratings, also known as social rankings, take a nightmarish turn. In this fictional society, social ratings become the standard for accessing services and the predominant criterion for evaluating individuals.
