Two main situations can be distinguished: on the one hand, brands present exclusively in their territory of origin, and on the other hand, international brands adapted with distinct names for each target market. In the latter case, they are sometimes referred to as localized brands. When an international brand creates a local version for a specific market, this can result from various reasons such as the unavailability of the brand name in the target country, a desire to adapt to local preferences (like Dannon in the United States), or considerations related to the meaning or sound of the name in that particular market. A notable example is Twix, initially a local version of the Raider brand for the United States before becoming a fully-fledged global brand. Despite the trend toward globalization, most brands remain primarily local, in contrast to a limited number of global brands.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","categories-glossary":[308],"class_list":["post-160260","dictionnaire-dico","type-dictionnaire-dico","status-publish","hentry","categories-glossary-branding-brand-identity"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/digitionary.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/dictionnaire-dico\/160260","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/digitionary.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/dictionnaire-dico"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/digitionary.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/dictionnaire-dico"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/digitionary.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=160260"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"categories-glossary","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/digitionary.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories-glossary?post=160260"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
