This concept was once primarily associated with the French national railway company, SNCF, except when the voices of highly recognizable television and radio advertisers were sometimes linked to a specific brand. However, its scope has broadened to include the synthesized voices of smart assistants like Siri or Google Assistant, as well as those of voice control systems found in some car models. With the rise of smart speakers in our homes and the increasing use of voice control on our smartphones, brand voice identity is poised to become a major issue for brands offering voice applications in these environments. For these companies, brand voice identity could become a key differentiator and potentially a lever for customer loyalty and engagement. It encompasses the physical characteristics of the voice, speech style and speed, as well as linguistic choices that may differ slightly from those used in writing. Whether with a human voice or a synthesized voice, vocal identity is an essential element closely linked to the notion of brand sound and part of the broader concept of user experience. A prime example of vocal identity is that of SNCF (the French national railway company), where a sound professional aptly highlights the complementarity between sonic and vocal identity. A media brand also addresses the issue of vocal identity in the context of voice assistants.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","categories-glossary":[308],"class_list":["post-160098","dictionnaire-dico","type-dictionnaire-dico","status-publish","hentry","categories-glossary-branding-brand-identity"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/digitionary.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/dictionnaire-dico\/160098","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/digitionary.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/dictionnaire-dico"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/digitionary.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/dictionnaire-dico"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/digitionary.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=160098"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"categories-glossary","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/digitionary.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories-glossary?post=160098"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
