A soft bounce refers to a temporary failure to deliver an email, usually caused by temporary issues such as a full inbox or a momentary unavailability of the recipient’s mail server. This type of bounce generates an error message sent from the recipient’s server to the sender, indicating that the message could not be delivered for temporary reasons. While these obstacles are often temporary, some situations, such as full inboxes associated with abandoned accounts, can prolong this situation.
