In stores, there is a compact device with a keypad that allows customers to read or insert a chip or magnetic stripe card. Located near the cash registers, it allows customers to enter the PIN associated with their bank card to authorize a payment by direct debit from their account. This device can also be used similarly for credit or loyalty cards.
