A hot zone, analogous to the concept of prime retail locations in merchandising, refers to an area that is particularly frequented or regularly viewed within a website, webpage, or email. These zones can be identified using visualization studies. Traditionally, the most visible parts of a webpage are located at the top, especially in the center, just like the top of emails. To illustrate this concept, one can refer to a heat map that highlights hot and cold zones, as shown in an example provided by Altics.
