An event photo booth is a photo space or booth integrated into corporate events or promotional activities to allow participants to take photos of themselves. Typically, the backdrop features the logo or brand of the organizer or sponsor so they appear in the pictures. Originally, these photo booths were designed to capture images of celebrities or VIPs at corporate events, with the aim of showcasing the organizers’ or sponsors’ brands within the backdrop. Nowadays, these installations at professional events are no longer exclusively reserved for VIPs but are accessible to everyone, whether they want to take photos with their smartphone or via an automated system. The goal is no longer so much to obtain media coverage, but rather to generate social media engagement from anonymous participants.
