Click-through rate (CTR) is the percentage of clicks received by an element or page relative to the total number of impressions. It is calculated by dividing the number of clicks by the number of impressions, then multiplying the result by 100. This rate varies depending on the industry and the position in search results, with the top positions receiving the majority of clicks. Optimizing CTR can be achieved by improving titles, descriptions, URLs, and using rich snippets to make links more appealing.
