A campaign domain name is a website name registered and used specifically for an advertising, event, or promotional campaign. For example, “lesjoursfous.com” or “lesjoursfousmarquesx.com” are examples of campaign domain names. These domain names provide direct access to the offer, facilitate memorization as part of a “drive-to-web” strategy, and reinforce the advertising message. Sometimes, this avoids redirecting to a specific landing page that includes the brand name, a slash (/), and the page name in its web address. Using a campaign domain name can be particularly advantageous for radio advertising campaigns, which require high memorability, or even for television commercials. It is crucial to register the campaign domain name well in advance so that it is indexed by Google and other search engines, as not everyone types the full URL into their browser.
