The communication technique involves including advertising material, such as a brochure, leaflet, or flyer from company A, in mailings sent by company B. For example, EDF might include a donation coupon for Doctors Without Borders with its bills (known as an “asylum bill” or “bill insert”). This practice is widely adopted by mail-order companies to reduce shipping costs, a practice commonly referred to as “asylum parcel.”
