OLED screens, short for Organic Light-Emitting Diode, are a display technology widely used in various electronic devices such as PC monitors, televisions, smartphones, smartwatches, and many other display devices. This technology relies on the use of organic components capable of emitting light when an electric current is applied, unlike traditional LCD screens which require external backlighting. OLED screens have the unique characteristic of emitting their own light, thus offering deeper blacks and more vibrant colors, while consuming less energy when the pixels are inactive.
