The Net Promoter Score (NPS) is a tool for assessing customer loyalty to a company. Created by American expert Frederick Reichheld in the early 2000s, it is based on a key question: “How likely are you to recommend our supplier (or our company/service/product)?” Responses are rated on a scale of 0 to 10, ranging from “not at all” to “very much.” Customers giving a score of 9 or 10 are considered “promoters,” while those giving a score of 7 or 8 are considered “passives.” Finally, scores between 0 and 6 designate “detractors.” This method proves particularly well-suited for assessing the loyalty of a large customer base.
