IRIS mapping is a method used to associate a specific location with a residential or, sometimes, a business address. This process relies on INSEE data and involves computer processing to categorize addresses according to their assigned IRIS (aggregated census block). Furthermore, IRIS mapping facilitates the assignment of addresses to geographically defined commercial areas.
