Street marketing, a term of English origin, refers to the use of marketing strategies in public spaces to interact directly with consumers in their daily lives. Its main objective is to generate impact by promoting a product or brand to a wide audience, while leveraging media coverage of the event for advertising purposes, particularly to generate hype. Traditionally based on the distribution of brochures, flyers, and samples, street marketing has diversified in recent years by incorporating more innovative approaches such as human performances, flash mobs, pop-up events, and the transformation of urban elements. Street marketing campaigns are designed to surprise and pique the curiosity of consumers, thus facilitating the retention of an advertising message, sometimes implicit, more effectively.
