A license agreement is a contract by which the owner of intellectual property, such as an asset, process, patent, or trademark, grants an individual or company the right to use it. This agreement, also called a licensing agreement, details precisely the framework and conditions for using the intellectual property, as well as the terms of payment of royalties by the licensee.
