Each company listed in a document is assigned a SIRET number during a procedure called “sirétage.” This number, issued by INSEE (the French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies), uniquely identifies each company. Thus, sirétage greatly facilitates the process of deduplicating companies listed in a given file.
