A multidimensional database is a data storage structure specifically designed to facilitate access to information by efficiently handling complex and varied queries that were not necessarily anticipated during its initial design. Unlike relational databases, which organize data into tables, multidimensional databases use a cube-based organization to allow for the simultaneous analysis of multiple aspects or dimensions of the data.
