Z Shell, also known as Zsh, is a versatile command interpreter used on various computing platforms. Licensed under the BSD license, this Unix shell offers a wide range of useful features such as auto-completion, pattern expansion, command history sharing, and code segmentation. A notable feature is its replacement of Bash (Bourne Again Shell) as the default shell on macOS, starting with macOS Catalina (version 10.15) in 2019.
