Supply chain event management is typically achieved using optimization software. Supply Chain Event Management (SCEM) aims to merge all data to synchronize supply chain planning (SCP) and supply chain execution (SCE) applications. In addition to overseeing and directing operations, SCEM must also promote and monitor various supply chain activities through regular metrics. Its role also includes the ability to alert operators to malfunctions that have already occurred or are likely to occur.
