The free text comment area is a text space, often integrated into a CRM or customer database, that allows sales representatives or agents in contact with customers to enter observations useful for the future management of clients or prospects. It also encourages the spontaneous expression of opinions, criticisms, and suggestions from consumers regarding a brand, product, or service, thus contributing to customer engagement. However, uncontrolled use of this area can lead to misuse of the data entered, which necessitates guidelines that comply with current recommendations.
