In the heart of a store, a collection of coupons grouped together in what’s called a coupon block offers a series of discounts exclusively for a specific product, available to customers on a self-service basis. These coupon blocks are usually placed on the shelves, integrated into the product displays or at the end of aisles. At the beginning of 2017, Médiaperformances reported observing a significant increase in weekly sales, estimated at 33%, thanks to the combination of in-store signage and the use of discount coupons. The coupon block thus represents one of the many sales promotion techniques. Image credit: [Image credit missing].
