In 1996, Hans Baumgartner and Jan-Benedict Steenkamp introduced a scale to assess the degree to which an individual is inclined to explore purchasing behaviors. This scale comprises two aspects: exploratory product acquisition (EAP) and exploratory information seeking (EIS). Each dimension consists of 10 items rated on a 5-point scale.
